NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 1 Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, s. 21

NOTICEis hereby given, that the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Red Lake passed By-Law No. 14-2016 at their Regular Meeting held Monday, March 21st, 2016 adopting Official Plan Amendment 1 (herein referred to as 'OPA'), originally circulated as Municipal File No. D09-16-01.

THE LOCATION of land subject to the amendment pertains to all land within the Municipality of Red Lake, being the corporate boundary.

THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE AMENDMENT is to make revisions in accordance with comments provided by the province to ensure consistency with provincial policy; refine the rhetoric of policies and regulations; as well as correct formatting errors within the text and schedules (the nature of these amendments are commonly referred to as "Housekeeping Amendments").

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION is available for inspection on request during regular office hours at the Municipal Office, or by visiting the Municipal Website www.redlake.ca. Inquiries may be directed to the Municipal Planner.

APPROVAL AUTHORITY The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing ('MMAH') is the approval authority for the Official Plan and OPAs for the Municipality of Red Lake. OPA No. 1 will be sent to the MMAH for approval. If you wish to be notified of the Ministry's decision in respect of the proposed OPA, a written request for notification should be submitted to:

Any person or public body will be entitled to receive notice of the Ministry's decision if a written request to be notified of the decision is made directly to the Ministry as noted above.

WHEN AND HOW TO FILE AN APPEAL: The MMAH will give written notice of its decision to those persons or public bodies that submitted a written request to MMAH to be notified of its decision. The Ministry's Notice of Decision contains information on when and how to file an appeal. Any person or public body may, not later than twenty (20) days after the day that MMAH gives written notice of its decision, appeal all or part of the decision to the Ontario Municipal Board. Any appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board must be filed with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing at the above-noted address.

OTHER APPLICATIONS RELEVANT TO THE SUBJECT LOCATION: Amendments to The Municipality of Red Lake Zoning By-Law were also approved in accordance with Section 34 of the Planning Act.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Red Lake passed By-Law No. 15-2016 at their Regular Meeting held Monday, March 21st, 2016, thereby giving approval for Housekeeping Amendments to Zoning By-Law.

THE LOCATION of land subject to the amendment pertains to all land within the Municipality of Red Lake, being the corporate boundary.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF BY-LAW is to make revisions to the recently approved Zoning By-Law in accordance with comments provided by the province to ensure consistency with provincial policy; refine the rhetoric of regulations and definitions; remove redundancies; correct formatting errors within the text and schedules (the nature of these amendments are commonly referred to as "Housekeeping Amendments").

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION is available for inspection on request during regular office hours at the Municipal Office, or by visiting the Municipal Website www.redlake.ca. Inquiries may be directed to the Municipal Planner.

THE LAST DATE FOR FILING A NOTICE OF APPEAL is Tuesday, April 12th, 2016.

Notices of appeal:
   i. must be filed with Christine Goulet, Clerk of The Corporation of the Municipality of Red Lake
   ii. must set out the reasons for the appeal, and
   iii. must be accompanied by the fee required by the Municipal Board of $125.00

Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Ontario Municipal Board. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.

No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of appeal unless, before the by-law is passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Ontario Municipal Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
