Notice of Paving and Patching

Notice of Asphalt Paving / Patching:

October 15 – November 1, 2024

Dear residents, property and business owners,

The Municipality of Red Lake has contracted Pioneer Construction to perform asphalt paving and/or patching in designated areas from October 15 to November 1, 2024.

Designated paving and/or patching areas:

Red Lake:
Hughes Cres., Howey St., Young St., Laverty Rd., Discovery Rd., Gustafson Rd., Forestry Rd., Government Dock turn around and Huston Place.

Balmertown:
Sixth St., Fourth St., Eric Radford Way and Detta Rd.

Cochenour:
Edward Ave. and Cochenour Arena.

During the paving/patching process, there may be temporary disruptions, including limited access to driveways and parking areas. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and will work to minimize these disruptions as much as possible.

For your safety follow directions given by the contractors when near the construction area. Prior to paving a thick tarry substance known as tack coat is spread. DO NOT drive on this substance as it will coat your vehicle and is difficult to remove. Asphalt is extremely hot, do not walk on or near fresh asphalt. Obey all the signage and directions given by the contractor.

Please follow temporary traffic control measures implemented during the construction period.

We appreciate your patience as we complete the improvements to your neighborhood.

If you have any questions or specific accessibility needs or concerns, contact that Municipality Public Works Department at (807) 727-2597 or by email at: operations@redlake.ca
